Welcome Back! I hope you've all had a lovely half-term and are looking forward to some more exciting learning in Year 5.
Our topic will be science based and we will investigate materials! This will involve learning about the various types and properties of materials and the way they behave. There will be an opportunity to try some 'sticky' investigations. The children will be developing their awareness of relationships, become great athletes, improving music composition and writing warning stories.
To help the children progress with their reading, they are expected to read at home each school day and have this recorded in their planner; signed by a responsible adult.
Homework for Maths and Literacy (including spellings!) will be given out on a Thursday and must be handed in by the following Tuesday. See inside the front cover of the new homework books for guidance.
Planners must be handed in on Friday for signing. If you need to communicate with me just come in or put a message in the planner, making sure it is handed to me on that day!
PE is always on Monday and kit is expected for indoor and outdoor; weather appropriate.
Watch this space as I will update this as regularly as I can to share important information as well as examples of the fantastic work we will be producing this year.
