Year 6

Over the half term can we ask the children to read as much as possible.

I have attached a book review that they should complete for one book they read.

If possible could they also write a review for film they watch over the holiday.

In our Maths section there is a times tables square which they can use to practice these. There is also activities on Mathletics. All children had passwords again on Friday.

Welcome to Year 6's Page!

Welcome to the revamped Year 6 page.

Over the half term we will be adding lots of information to this page to help parents and year 6 pupils

This half term we will be expecting all children to spending lots of time reading and practicing their times tables. We will also be setting homework on Mathletics.

Reading - The children are expected to read at least five times every week. School organisers will be checked every Monday to give the children time to catch up on their reading over the weekend, should they need to do so.

All children have been given a Year 6 reading list which lists some fantastic books for them to try. We also have a wide selection of brand new books in school that they should be accessing and bringing home.

PE Kits

PE kit will be required every day. All children will be expected to have their full kits every week as PE and Games are mandatory lessons that the children must take part in, unless a sickness note has been provided.

Home school organiser

Children will use their home school organisers to write down any notes, use a home school communication as well note their homework each week. These are therefore very important documents and should be brought to and from school each day. Each week they need to be signed on a Friday by a parent or carer to say that these have been seen at home.

Student update

So far, we have been learning a lot about 'The Valuables'. These are our reward system characters. If we have achieved one of the following, Co-opertive learner, Exellent learner, Aspirational learner, Resilient learner, Respectful learner or Independent learner we may earn a certificate in Mondays Celebration Assembly.
